Frequently Asked Questions

ARE YOUR WINDOW FILMS REALLY LIFETIME SATISFACTION GUARANTEED?
Yes, absolutely (pinky promise). All Window Whirl products come with a 100% customer satisfaction lifetime guarantee, meaning all you have to do is send us a message if you’re ever less than 100% satisfied with your window film and we’ll issue you a full refund, with no return necessary. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

WHAT MATERIAL IS YOUR WINDOW FILM MADE OF?
Our window films are 100% vinyl and charged with static to ensure a strong cling with no need for messy adhesives.

ARE THE FILMS SMOOTH OR TEXTURED?
Both. The side designed to cling to the window is smooth, and the side facing away from the window is very lightly textured.

DO YOUR WINDOW FILMS REDUCE HEAT AND UV RAYS?
Yes. Our Frost Film reduces UV exposure and, to a lesser extent, heat from direct sunlight. Our Blackout Films completely eliminate UV exposure while keeping your room cooler.

CAN YOU SEE THROUGH THE FROST FILM?
Our Frost Film is translucent, meaning light passes through it while maintaining your privacy. Distinct details, features, etc. cannot be seen through either side of the film.

CAN YOU SEE THROUGH THE BLACKOUT FILM? IS IT A TINT?
Our Blackout Films cannot be seen through (not even a little bit). They are not a tint. They block 100% of sunlight, and therefore visibility.

IS THE BLACKOUT FILM SAFE FOR USE ON DUAL-PANE WINDOWS?
Yes, especially if you use one of our white exterior-facing Blackout Films, which are designed to reflect sunlight away from your windows and house, rather than absorb it and create heat.

CAN YOU USE YOUR FILMS ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE OR ON A SHOWER DOOR?
Our window films are designed for use on any indoor flat glass surface that is not directly exposed to the elements (e.g., water/rain). If you apply it to the outside of a shower door, and your door's window is made of flat glass, you should be just fine.

ARE YOUR FILMS REUSABLE?
Although our films can be easily removed without ever damaging your windows, they are not designed to be reused multiple times. Peeling it off the window causes the film to lose static electricity. It is also difficult to store without debris and dust sticking to the back of the film, resulting in air bubbles upon re-application. For these reasons, our film should be thought of as a semi-permanent solution for privacy and/or darkening rooms.

WHAT IS THE BLACKOUT FILM'S VLT (VISIBLE LIGHT TRANSMISSION)?
All our Blackout Films have 0% VLT, meaning no light passes through it.
